Samsung Galaxy S10 series launch in India today: Price, specs and how to watch livestream

Samsung’s DJ Koh will be attending the event to announce the new Galaxy S10 phones along with the company’s new wearables. The Galaxy S10 lineup includes an affordable Galaxy S10e, a regular Galaxy S10 and a high-end Galaxy S10+. All three phones tout new Infinity-O punch-holes displays along with the latest Exynos 9820 chipset and One UI.The Galaxy S10 and S10+, in particular, introduce some brand new features like an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and reverse wireless charging. The Galaxy S10e, on the other hand, loses out on a few features, but largely retains core specifications, so that you get a premium flagship at a lower price point.Samsung has already revealed the prices of the Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e in India ahead of its official launch. In fact, the phones were up for pre-orders in the country till Tuesday, March 5 via Samsung.com/in, Flipkart, Amazon India, Paytm, Tata CLiQ and select retail outlets. The Galaxy S10 series will be available through these channels and we will know the exact date of release during the event today.The Galaxy S10e is the most affordable of the three new phones with a price of Rs Rs 55,900. There is only one version of the Galaxy S10e with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and it will be available in Prism Black and Prism White colours. The Galaxy S10 comes in next with a starting price of Rs 66,900 for the 8GB/128GB variant going up to Rs 84,900 for the 8GB/512GB model. The Galaxy S10+ will start at Rs 73,900 for the 8GB/128GB version, while the 8GB/512GB and 12GB/1TB variants are priced at Rs 91,900 and Rs 1,17,900, respectively.advertisementThe Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10+ come with Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED displays. While the S10e and S10 get a small hole-punch to house a selfie camera, the S10+ gets a wider cutout for dual selfie cameras. The Galaxy S10e comes with a flat display, while the other two come with Samsung’s trademark curved edge displays. The S10e also gets a FHD+ resolution, while the Galaxy S10 and S10+ come with QHD+ resolution.All three Samsung Galaxy S10 phones sport the latest Exynos 9820 chipset and will ship with One UI based on Android Pie out of the box. The Galaxy S10+, S10 and S10e house 4,100mAh, 3,400mAh and 3,100mAh batteries, respectively. The triple camera system on the S10 and S10+ include a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with OIS and autofocus, a 12MP wide-angle lens with Dual Aperture (f/1.5-2.4), and a 16MP ultra wide-angle f/2.2 sensor. The S10e gets the same wide-angle and ultra wide-angle cameras, but misses the telephoto camera.At today’s event, Samsung will also announce its new Galaxy Buds truly wireless earphones that can charge wirelessly on the back of the Galaxy S10. The company is also expected to launch the Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch, which offers a circular display without the trademark rotating bezels.
