DONEGAL FARMER CRUSHED TO DEATH IN FREAK ACCIDENT

first_imgAn elderly farmer was killed in a freak accident at his farm yesterday.Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the accident.The farmer, 79, was working on his farm at Moville, on the Inishowen Peninsula when the accident happened.It is understood his tractor rolled back and crushed him against a concrete wall. The man, named locally as Patrick Crumlish, was believed to be unhitching a trailer in the townland of Glenagivney at around 5.25pm.He had just stepped out of the tractor to unhitch the trailer at the back when the tractor rolled back and struck him.Mr Crumlish was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries.His remains were taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where an examination was performed on his remains.
