Curry’s wife, Ayesha, was not part of the leak, her publicist told Cassandra Negley of Yahoo Sports. The person who distributed the photos could face serious legal consequences given that uploading them to Twitter almost certainly violates revenge porn laws. Under the California penal code, for example, it is illegal to distribute images “where the victim is identifiable; with the intent to cause serious emotional distress to the victim; and the victim actually suffered such distress.”Curry, who has averaged 23.5 points, 6.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds over 11 seasons with Golden State, played in only four games this year before suffering a broken left hand. The Warriors are expected to provide an update on his status in early February.last_img
