2 Men Accused of DWI With Kids 8 Hours Apart

first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York Two men allegedly drove drunk with two children in their vehicles, one of which crashed, eight hours apart on Long Island over the weekend, Nassau and Suffolk county police said.In the first case, 42-year-old Duhaney Duncan was driving a Dodge pickup westbound on the shoulder of Jericho Turnpike in his hometown of Huntington Station when he struck a Nissan minivan that was parked in front of Brooklyn Pizza at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, Suffolk police said.Duncan and his two children, ages 1 and 2, who were in the vehicle with him at the time of the crash, were not injured. Officers found him to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.In the second case, 40-year-old Christian Bisono of Far Rockaway, was driving his vehicle northbound on North Central Avenue in Valley Stream when a Nassau police officer pulled him over for driving erratically shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.Bisano had a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl in the vehicle at the time, police said. He was also found to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.Duncan and Bisono were each charged with driving while intoxicated with a child 15 years old or younger, a felony under Leandra’s Law, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.Bail for Duncan was set at $75,000 bond or $25,000 cash. Bail for Bisono was set at $2,000. Bisano is due back in court Wednesday and Duncan is due back Friday.Duncan’s children were released to their mother. The children in Bisano’s vehicle were taken to a friend’s house. The nature of the relationship between Bisono and the children was not immediately clear.last_img
