first_img Sr. Biostatistician Save Sr. Biostatistician GeneralSummary/PurposeThe Department of Epidemiology, Johns HopkinsBloomberg School of Public Health seeks a Senior biostatistician towork as part of a data coordinating center study team andcollaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, projectcoordinators and investigators in a variety of fields to analyzeand manage data with the aim of scientific publication. Thesuccessful applicant will contribute to the development andapplication of statistical methods to address research needs in along-term, nationwide cohort study of HIV-infection andaging.Specific Duties &ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Biostatistician will be responsible foranalyzing large, complex data sets from a complex multi-sitelongitudinal study of HIV. Will collaborate with investigators withprimary responsibility for analysis and presentation of projectdata. Analysis includes both cross sectional and longitudinalanalyses (Kaplan Meier, Cox, Survival Analysis etc.), nesteddesigns, sample selection, and lagged measures. Opportunities topresent work and coauthor publications in statistical andsubstantive journals necessitate excellent oral and writtencommunication skills. Experience with manuscript and presentationpreparation is desirable.
